Interview with Jason Klein of Steiner Sports

Hey guys!

Today I interviewed Jason Klein of Steiner Sports for the blog. He writes his blog for Steiner. Below I've put the link to his blog.

Anyway here is the interview:

1. How do you feel working with so many athletes up close?

A: "It is exciting working with so many athletes up close. What we do is connect the fans to the game with these athletes that work with us."

2. What is your favorite experience while working at Steiner Sports?

A: " I can't pick a specific event. However what we do is come to work every day and sometimes work on products based on last night. For example if Andy Pettitte threw a no hitter, we would market that event an get Andy to sign no hitter stuff for us.

3. What are some new products coming out with Steiner Sports?

A: "One thing is that we usually have dirt from Yankee Stadium and Fenway park. Now we will have dirt from every major league ballpark in the country. The dirt will be made into plaques that highlight the ballparks."

4. Who will win the 2010 World Series?

A: "It is difficult to see anyone knock off the Yankees, but look for the Rays to make a run at the playoffs as a wild card. It should be a Yankees-Phillies World Series."

Thanks again to Jason Klein for taking the time to be interviewed! Look for the dirt plaques coming soon!!

Yankees-Red Sox Recap

Well, what a game yesterday. Maybe we should be talking more about the post game then the game itself. (IE: David Ortiz cursing at reporters) The Yankees won against the Red Sox 6-4. Robinson Cano lead the team with a hr in the ninth inning. Joba looked as pumped up as ever with a pair of strikeouts in the eighth inning.

Now we have to get into David Ortiz. He is 0-7 with a strikeout and a walk. I know it is only the first two games, but Ortiz struggled last season. He batted .188 with 1 hr in the first two months of the season. Could it return? Could Mike Lowell be the new DH? It is way too early to tell. But with Ortiz keeps struggling, you will have to consider it.

Finally, will Ortiz be fined by the league due to his cursing session after the game? We will update that on the blog once more info is known.

First Post coming up!

Stay tuned for a recap of all the games from last night!
